Yesterday, my aunt surprised me with $100 so I decided I would buy some clothes for school since the only new clothes I really had was a cardigan and some bracelets and socks. (Most of my money I had this summer went to dorm stuff and college fees). So I went crazy and bought some jeans, shirts, sweaters, and shoes. I’m pretty sure that money was gone even faster than I got it. But I’m happy, so it’s all good. 5 more days until UCSB.
So I might have to take out another loan
THIS IS JUST GREAT.
I wonder if there are any people who go to UC’s or Private Universities that can get through college without taking out any loans at all. I NEED TO KNOW YOUR SECRETS. This really sucks, but whatever. Gotta do what I gotta do. Anyone else out there in the same boat with all these loans? I really need to try to apply for more scholarships this year….sigh.
You can blow your nose with money!
I saw this on the side of my facebook news feed
there’s no such thing as a “best loan”
THEY ALL SUCK.
Whenever I find out that the clothes celebrities wear cost over hundreds of dollars, I’m seriously shocked. If I was the richest person in the world, I think I would still be shopping at the 99 cent store, thrift stores or at H & M. Why should I spend hundreds of dollars on a shirt, when I could basically get the same thing at a retail store. On special ocassions, I would probably spend more money on something nice and fancy, but not all the time. I just don’t understand. Just because you have a lot of money, doesn’t mean you should spend it all so carelessly.
College + Money + Dorming
So at first I only wanted to be in a double room for dorming in college, but now I want to be in a triple. Because it’ll give me a chance to have a different roommate other than someone I already know. Plus it knocks about $3,000 off of my room and board cost. UCSB sent out an email a few weeks ago saying that 2/3 freshmen will be in triples & I’m really hoping that I am one of those people because like i said cheaper and meeting someone new. Also, my tuition/room & board for fall quarter has to be paid by September 15 and I still haven’t gotten my official award letter so I’m freaking out a little bit ok. That leaves about a month to figure all this money out. I have a $500 scholarship that I got at Senior Awards Night but wow. I think I’ll have to take out loans. Wow, college costs too much money ugh. Why can’t I just get a quality education at a realistic, affordable price? Anyway, so yeah I’m just venting about my college/financial woes~
It’s really awkward when people buy me things and expect me to buy them things in return. I didn’t ask you to buy me anything, but you do anyway. Plus, you should give just to give, not to expect something back. I dunno. I give people gifts when I have money. If I had enough money, I’d buy everyone gifts. But I can’t do that. But yeah, I try to get people gifts for their birthdays but sometimes I just really don’t have the $ and yeah, I appreciate people who buy me stuff but you really don’t have to. There are a lot of things that I want, but I have everything I need…
Who’s been to New York City before?
About how much spending money would you take? Let’s say I wanna see a couple musicals, go shopping, tours, time square, etc. I’m trying to plan a trip sometime soon. Maybe in December-ish. If not, then next summer. Also, which would be a better time to go: Winter or Summer?
When I’m an adult & I have my first child, I’m gonna start saving money for my kid’s college fund. Even if it’s only like $50 a month. I don’t want my kids to have to worry about money as much as I am worrying about it for college right now. Thanks, parents v____v
College means $$$
So during this break I’ve had time to think about college. Everybody knows how expensive college is gonna be and tuition goes up every year. I used to want to settle for whatever college was the cheapest. But, now that I’ve gotten into my dream school, I’ve decided that I can’t pass it up just because I cant afford it. I mean, I really cannot afford it. But I know financial aid will cover up a good portion of it. & then there’s loans. I used to be terrified of taking out a loan, but unless you’re rich, there aren’t really many other options. I’ve applied for a number of scholarships, but I haven’t gotten any. I’m gonna keep applying but still. So yeah, I’m probably gonna take out a loan or two. I’ll have years to pay it back after I graduate. But that’s college. They’re preparing you for an amazing career where you’ll have money to pay back the loans and more. It may take time, but I’ve got plenty of it. Why am I in a rush? Life is way too short. I don’t wanna have to worry about money. I just wanna live now. & right now I wanna go to my dream school no matter how expensive it may be. But I titled this “college means $$$” because college is gonna cost a lot of money. But ya gotta spend money to make money. I don’t want anything to be handed down to me. I wanna work hard for what I get. I wanna earn it. Nothing comes easy. So yeah, college means $$$.
Today is a scholarship kind of day.
Since it’s my last semester of high school, It’s finally hitting me that I will be attending college after this. But I’m a broke @$$ b!tch so I need to figure out ways to pay for college. SOOOO, I’m gonna be doing scholarships all day today, and my goal is to fill out one a week from now until the end of the school year. It seems kind of crazy, but I seriously don’t want to pay a cent for college and I can’t really afford it either sooo…..SCHOLARSHIPS.
This has been a college related post.
I participated in AIDS Walk today and it was awesome, as always. Walked 6.2 miles for a good cause & donated $ as well! Now I’m just tumbling for a bit and going to bed. OH YEAH, & I have this horrible cough that keeps messing w/ me -_____________-

I’m pretty sure everybody leaves this place BROKE. I gotta go into hardcore saving mode. So excited to be going @ the end of this month!
Starting on August 1st, I’m going to start putting away $0.50 - $1 for a year so that by this time next summer, I’ll have a good amount of money. It’s gonna be so hard to not go into it but I think if I use change, I won’t be as tempted because I hate change so I won’t want to use it. I’ll probably put it in a shoe box and tape it up all complicated so it won’t be easy to get out. I did something similar to this last year where I collected change randomly except I went into it throughout the year. Well anyway, wish me luck.
I like shopping but I hate spending money.
