There are literally hundreds of attractive people at UCSB! But no, I do not like anyone in the romantic sense at the moment. I don’t know why, it just hasn’t happened. I ain’t even mad though!

Ok, so for the past few months, I’ve been working and perfecting this monologue I found in a monologue book. I used it for my intro to acting class and a few auditions and I got really great feedback from my audiences so I was gonna use it for my theater BFA audition in May but I was like “ugh, this isn’t even from a real play. It’s just in a monologue book” so for the last few weeks I’ve been looking around for a new monologue to use but none of them really stuck out to me as much as this one. So today I decided to do some research and it turns out that IT’S FROM A REAL PLAY OMG YEAAAAAAAAAAH!!! And it fits all of the requirements for my audition and wow, it’s perfect. It’s a sign. So I’m gonna keep working on this one and use it for my upcoming auditions and by the time I get to my audition for the BFA program, it should be pretty amazing. AH. I’m so happy right now :)))
E.D. Nixon was president of the Montgomery chapter of the NAACP, as well as president of the Brotherhood of the Sleeping Car Porters. His efforts were central to the planning of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and subsequent events that helped to change history. Unfortunately, his name and contributions are absent from the mainstream discourse of the Civil Rights Movement. In the name of E.D Nixon, the AdCRC would like to honor the achievements of the “unsung heroes” that contribute to the growth and well being of our communities at UCSB. Our first recipient will be announced at the 2nd annual Black History Month Game Night event on February 26 @ 5pm, Flying A Room.
IT’S GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SEASON! WHERE ARE THE LITTLE GIRL SCOUTS SELLING COOKIES?! COLLEGE STUDENTS EAT THEM TOO. (we eat the cookies, not the girl scouts)

I’m really upset that it’s such a beautiful day and I’m stuck inside writing an essay, reading, and studying for a quiz. Isn’t college supposed to be fun? I’ve been lied to! Well, enjoy your Sunday everyone!
One of the worst things about college is having to buy/rent EXPENSIVE textbooks. IT’S RIDICULOUS. & professors need to stop changing books every quarter so I can sell back my books. I’m so broke right now. Ugh, I’m real mad.

FALL QUARTER GRADES! I’m definitely satisfied. 3.9 GPA!
All those long nights full of essays, reading, and other work paid off.
Time to go even harder during winter quarter.
I’ve auditioned for so many things and gotten callbacks,
But I’ve yet to be casted in a college production. DETERMINATION.
Anyway, working on this resume is making me realize that I need to do a lot more within these next 3-4 years.

After these last few months, I must say, it was not what I expected.
Not better. Not worse. Just, different. It was kinda rough adjusting to it all, but now I’m ready to take on winter quarter and whatever it has to throw at me.
but first….
3 WEEKS OF FUN AND RELAXATION.

I call it the tree of life. It stands in the center of the bus circle here at UCSB and it represents the fact that people are always coming and going from our lives, just like the buses come and go from this circle. loljk it’s probably a normal tree.
